Had breakfast here early December and it was soooo good!! Very generous with the smoked salmon and the eggs were cooked so well! I didn’t notice the sign until after I paid but they do student discount. The only thing is I paid £1 extra than it was on the menu? I did not realise until I got home so, just make sure you check what you have paid for. They have their own parking which I didn’t notice, there is a car park at the back which you have to pay for but if you keep driving down you will find their car park and park for free

I recently visited the Hub and Spoke Café and had a fantastic experience. The cappuccino I ordered was the best I've ever had, made by a nice girl who provided excellent service. The café itself was clean and tidy, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for coffee lovers looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy a quality drink!

I visited this lovely cafe with my mum at about 4pm on Monday 30 September 2024. We were in Oakham shopping and we were just looking for somewhere for a cup of tea and a piece of cake. What a lovely surprise. Really large and spacious and beautifully decorated. We ordered two pots of tea, a slice of Nutty Banana Bread and a Pain au Choc. Everything was delicious and they will warm the croissant/pan au Choc, if you'd like them to. The teapots, crockery and cutlery were all high quality. Really friendly, professional staff too. All in all a relaxing, quality place to spend some time. I noticed that they offer a good range of lunches too which, I'm confident would be just as good as the food we had. I would definitely recommend.

Hub & Spoke Café: Friendly Staff and Great Coffee. I recently visited the new Hub & Spoke Café on Melton Road and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were absolutely lovely – friendly and welcoming. They clearly take pride in their coffee, as they use beans from a local roaster called Two Chimps. The coffee itself was delicious! However, there was a bit of a misstep with the pastry. I ordered a croissant, and unfortunately, it came reheated. Now, microwaving a croissant is generally not the best way to go, and this one was no exception. It ended up a bit tough and chewy. Here's a tip for future visitors: if you order a croissant, you might want to specify that you'd prefer it not to be heated. That way, you can enjoy the buttery flakiness at its best. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out Hub & Spoke. The coffee is great, the staff are friendly, and with a little heads-up about the croissants, you can have a truly enjoyable experience.

Great little cafe with a good menu, friendly(-ish) staff (some great but some lacking personality which is odd for a business cafe), charging points for phones/laptops & meeting facilities. Free WiFi. A few free parking spaces to the rear, accessed via Westgate. Be wary though if you're using a wheelchair. A few steps to navigate. Not insurmountable but may prove a challenge if you're wheeling solo. Disabled WC is good though. Overall, highly recommended

**A Lifesaving Latte at Dawn** The 8 20 a.m. train to London came too early after a long, sleepless night. Bleary-eyed and desperate for caffeine, I stumbled into the first open coffee shop near the station. The place had just opened—the barista was still setting up, rearranging pastries, and warming the machines. Then came Will, the smiling server who noticed my half-awake desperation. *"Just a latte, please—anything to keep me alive,"* I mumbled. Somehow, in the middle of his morning prep chaos, he whipped up the perfect latte—smooth, strong, and adorned with delicate fern-like latte art. It was a tiny masterpiece in a paper cup. That first sip was instant revival. *"Long night?"* he asked with a knowing grin. I nodded, already feeling human again. In that quiet, golden-hour moment—the shop still waking up, steam rising from the espresso machine—that latte wasn’t just coffee. It was a lifeline. And Will? An unsung hero of the early shift. I’ll be back soon—next time, for breakfast and another dose of kindness (and caffeine). Also you can have your business meeting it has a lot of private rooms for the meeting and events it a go to place even for the office work calm and peace place.
